Collectibles. They’re a fun, colourful, and hugely profitable marketing tool.
However, they’re also all made from plastic. In 2017, New World, a NZ supermarket chain with 138 stores, wanted to bring about a fresh change to collectibles. They got kids off their smartphones, laptops and TV’s to learn about how fresh produce is made. While consumers loved to grow them, New World’s sales grew by 6.5% during the promotion.
